Due to last minute problems Blindwrite was not released on time.  We have just been informed that, hopefully, it will be released over the weekend.  The problems with SAO Raw on the Yamaha CD writers have now been fixed, also the problems with the Philips 3600 and 3610 have been sorted and these are reported to "run like a charm" by Wesson.

We have just been informed that a new Blindread/Blindwrite will be released in about 15 days.  The new release will support the Teac 55S and hopefully the Phillips CDD2600.  Neither of these drives are supported by CloneCD.  We have tested the pre-release of this program with the Teac 55s using our NFS4 (safedisk) test disk, with complete success.  We have also been informed that the Teac 55S will be capable of copying Securom protected disks. We will bring you more news on this issue, as and when we get it, so please don't mail the writers of Blindwrite as this will only hinder the development times.

Hey! whose nicked our buttons?   You will notice we have now moved the navigation buttons to the top of the page.  The reasons for this are: 1) They were taking up too much space and restricting the width we had to work with for our reviews etc. 2)  Many people are joining us in the middle of our site and as the buttons were in a frame they may never see the site as it was intended to look, also it will have been difficult for them to move around the site.

We have all heard of the so called "Spyware" and the detection program Optout ,  we have found an alternative freeware detection program called  AD-Aware.

ZoneAlarm Pro has been released and is available from Zonelabs for $39.95 for a single computer license.  We shall be bringing you a review of this program in the near future.

We have just been informed that the release of the new Blindwrite/Blindread suite is imminent.  Both Blindread and Blindwrite have undergone major Improvements.  The Blindread/Blindwrite team have a few more tests to do then hopefully the program will be released.  Please do not Email Blindread/Blindwrite concerning this issue as they are a small team and time spent replying to Emails is a time delay on the release of this program. 

 We are receiving reports of problems with the Microsoft Windows 2000 SP1.  The full pack is 87Mb and is suitable for all editions and network installation.  You can also download a smaller pack which is suitable for the Professional (13.8Mb), Server and Advanced Server (29.6Mb) versions. Before you download one of these huge files take a look Here.   Please include your comments/experiences of the SP1 in our Forum so people may make an informed choice on whether to upgrade or not.
