 Burning Data ......continued.

You will now see this image in the lower pane.  As you can see, there are quite a few options to choose from before you burn.  Up in the fixation box, you have the option of creating a "Multisession" CD or to close the disc.  A multisession CD means that you can add to this particular CD later, if there is enough room left over.  To close the disc means that you can not add anything later.  I almost always just close the disc.

In the test write box, you have the option of test writing to see if any mistakes were made while building the disc or just writing immediately.  There are some restrictions in the ISO standards.  One example, is that you can't not burn a file system that is more than 8 folders deep.  If you simulate, you can find this out before making a coaster of the disc.

In the output box, you choose what burner to use and what speed.  If you don't have the correct burner displayed, click the select button to change.  From here, you can choose a different burner.  You can also change the location of your temporary folders.

You have the option of burning more than one copy also.  If you want more than one, enter the amount and WinOn will prompt you to put in another CD when each burn is done.

You can now choose from the options of Disc at Once (DAO) and Track/Session at Once (TAO).  Disc At Once means the laser in your burner will burn from start to finish with no pauses.  With Track At Once the laser will burn a track, pause, then burn the next track.

The last option is labelled as caching.  It used to say "Burn On the Fly if possible" in earlier versions.  This is asking if you want WinOn to write an image to the hard drive and then burn, or to try to gather all the data and burn at the same time.  A lot of computers aren't powerful enough or are just not setup properly to allow burning "On The Fly".  Please feel free to burn on the fly to see if your setup will handle it, but I would suggest that you check this box.  It takes a little longer, but saves on coasters.

And last but not least, you have the option of burning to CD, or just burning an image to your HD.  If you want an image, click the "CD-Image" button on the upper left of the lower pane.  The image that will be written to the HD is in the .c2d format and will only be able to be burned to CD at a later date by WinOnCD.  To burn to CD, click the "Record" button.  If you chose to "Cache" you will get the "Make CD" window.

It is asking you to confirm the temp folders and if you want to save the image after burning.  I usually just leave the "Keep track images after writing" box unchecked, so the image will be deleted after the burn.  Now click Ok and watch it burn.

When you are done burning, click ok and the CD will pop-out.  Slap it back in and see if you were successful.
